On the 11th - 15th November, Year 4s went on their first Renwick School camp. The first group went on Monday 11th - Wednesday 13th and the second group went Wednesday to Friday 15th November. There were feelings of excitement and feelings of nervousness about leaving home amongst the children, but they had an amazing time. Here is the exciting time they had.
One of the great things at camp was that there was an extraordinarily fun playground with lots of super equipment on it. Another was the amazing activities like the stream study where lots of people fell in. Plus, there was always a nice teacher around and best of all you were with a lot of your friends. There were a couple of things that weren't so great: you could get a burn on the underground slide or you could get a forfeit (a fun punishment) but soon enough you forgot about them with all the other brilliant times to be had.
At camp, the students there did lots of fun activities like the never-beaten stream study or the fantastic camp sketch, not forgetting the brilliant habitat survey and lots of other great activities to see and do.
At the end of camp, students were excited and sad. Excited because it was time to go home and sad because they were leaving camp. The chant that the second camp students made in memory of their time was, 'We all loved our camping time, the water slide was so divine!' All in all they had a great time and can't wait to go on next year's camp to Mistletoe Bay.
